As Geriatrician, we will work together to improve our lives
After obtaining my BS in Nursing at Western Carolina University, I attended East Carolina University School of Medicine, completing my residency in Family Medicine and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine there also and remained there 20 years. I was Geriatric Fellowship Director, teaching Geriatrics and Director of the Division of Geriatrics.
I moved to the University of Wisconsin- Madison and developed an interdisciplinary geriatric teaching program for 8 years.
In 2019 I became Chair of the Office of Geriatrics at the University of Cincinnati and Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the Cincinnati VA.
My experience is vast, having practiced Geriatric Medicine in all settings: hospital, clinic, nursing home, assisted living and home visits. I have been a Medical Director for over 25 years. My research interests include falls, osteoporosis, dementia, diabetes and dehydration.
PubMed list of my publications and I have given >100 national and international presentations.
In my spare time I enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing, running, bicycling, social dancing and playing with my 4 grandsons.
