Diabetes in Older Adults

I explain how several normal aging changes contribute to higher risk of low blood sugar, requiring a different approach to diabetes.

I address medical management of diabetes with a focus on the newer meds, and cautious insulin management, including our study that succeeded in stopping insulin in 59% of patients.

I give pointers to using metformin and mitigating side effects and address finger stick glucose measurements.
