Medication Management for Older Adults

I review the pharmacological principles and how they are affected by aging changes, address common prescribing errors, and why some medications are risky to older adults. I go into drug-drug and drug-disease interactions and develop an approach for safe drug prescribing and monitoring.

I describe approaches to drug tapering and deprescribing and provide alternative approaches to avoid certain medications. This video dovetails well with the presentations on Sleep, Falls and Depression.
